I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas holiday and time with your family.  I know I did.  What I did not enjoy was getting the flu after all of the holidays.  Even though I did not have the Christmas break I am used to, this being my first Christmas season with a real person job, I did get to do some relaxing and a good bit of reading.  I read a couple books on church marketing and diligently took notes so I could share my thoughts with you, and then in one of my cleaning sprees, misplaced them.  So while I continue to look for them I wanted to ask you, did you read any thought-provoking or just plain enjoyable books over the holidays?

I am sorry to all my dedicated readers for my lack of imagination and dedication for the summer so far.

I am stuck.  I have not had any idea what to write about.

Any suggestions?  Any book suggestions that I could read for inspiration?

I wish I could think of something to write about every day.  I would love to wake up early, start my day with devotionals and writing.  I do not know if I am just out of ideas or if there is not much more to talk about in this subject.  Do you have any ideas?  What could I talk about?

Here’s a survey I created to know more about my readers and more about their views on church.  I would love it if you would take the time to answer these ten short questions

Do you ever think about the future and wonder what it will be like?  Part of having a marketing strategy is knowing where you want to be in the future, and that means asking yourself questions about what you will look like.  Do you ever think about the status of the church beyond today? This year?  In thinking about that, these are some questions that I have. . .

Can a church ever be too big?

What will the church look like in the years to come?

What will be the biggest change to the church of the future?

Will the church ever be truly united on this earth?

Will there be more Christians or less in the next five years?

What can we do to make sure we continue to grow?

Do you have any answers?  How about any questions?  Are we too scared of the future to think about it?

I’ve been stumped about what to write about…

So I’m asking you…

Do you have any questions?  Any interesting comments?  What do you think the church needs help with?

It’s harder than I thought to think of things to write about.

I know that there are plenty of things out there, I just have to realize it.

So, I want to ask you, what do you think holds churches back from growth?
